Why So Many Chiefs?
Why does everyone want to be in charge? Why can't there be more compromise so that we can actually accomplish more? I'm quite weary of everyone wanting their own ideas pushed forward and their own agendas followed even if it's not in the best interest of the majority. Does anyone else struggle with this?

Did you see the Yahoo! most viewed story of how meetings make you dumber?
I am not certain that this is to what you are referring; it is interesting - they (yahoo) say that more sufferable ideas are put forward - to the expense of more brilliant ideas being suppressed in groupthink.
Not sure if this fits the situation you are describing...
