Do you like "Lifetime" movies?

Last night we were living a lifetime movie. It seemed like hundreds of teenagers (high school kids) converged on our neighbor's house. This house is behind our house two houses to the left of us. Remember how CLOSE houses are in S. CA. They were playing live loud music outside in the backyard (which of course faces our backyard) and it sounded like microphones were going - the whole nine yards. We think these people also have a pool. Kids were parking on our street, which is a cul-de-sac, and walking over - because they live on a busier highway and there is no place to park. Well, I decided not to call police because I just did two nights ago, but I prayed like crazy someone would and in the meantime decided to stay up and watch tv to try to keep my mind off of the noise. Sometime around 11:00 p.m. a helicopter starts circling our area shining lights and with a loud speaker telling the party to break up, they were minors drinking alcohol, etc. etc. They also announced those people would be paying the price for the helicopter. The helicopter flew around and around for about 15-20 minutes. Talk about excitement - well about 14 or 15 of those kids went to the house down the street from us, where we constantly have trouble because the mom lets the two young teen boys virtually do whatever the heck they want and a huge fight breaks out. Hubby comes into the house yelling call the police there's a huge fight - and of course all of the colorful, wonderful language at the top of their lungs to go with it. I called and they sent the helicopter again. I guess they also sent an officer, but the kids hid in the backyard or something. Anyway, we had to watch our yard, house, cars, etc. until the party really did break up. Boys were sitting in the yard across the street puking their guts out, and not only sitting across the street, but making sure they walked around and hit several yards with their puke. A girl was put in the back of a pickup passed out, and some mom was waiting outside these neighbors' house 45 minutes for some girl to come out. We assume it was her daughter. While waiting, these lovely teens egged her car. Of course, everyone appeared stone cold drunk. We think it all ended about 1:30 a.m., but who knows. WHERE ARE THESE PARENTS? This is supposed to be a good neighborhood. Teenagers need to keep busy - and not keeping busy terrorizing the whole neighborhood. They are wasting their lives because they have apathetic parents. Parents appear to care more about themselves then raising decent law-abiding kids.

Mom,
So sorry you had to go through that!!! I can't believe it! Marco was just asking the other day if you all had been having any trouble with your neighbors recently or if that had all calmed down. I told him you hadn't mentioned it lately, but that since it was now summer time maybe you would start having problems again. That really stinks. Were there any arrests made? Considering minors were drinking and everything. Let me know how things are going.

We will survive - it just puts one's nerves on edge and it's hard to relax when you need to be sleeping. Whenever we see the garage door open at that house (which it is now at 10:33 p.m. - first time all day), we feel the need to be watchful. Other neighbors are just as upset. Don't know if any arrests or anything. I hope they are fining those parents at the least.

You should file a complaint or gather the other neighbors and file together! It doesn't sound like the police force can really handle the situation! After reading about your experience I decided living in rural Maine isn't that bad after all.

I hope it gets better. You should video tape it also to strengthen your claims. Would DHS (Department of Human Services) or whatever even care about how the kids are allowed to act? The owners of the house should be held accountable.
