Well, now I have two zebra finches. I wasn't sure whether to take them from a coworker whose birds had offspring or not, so I sent a note home asking parents if someone could babysit over the summer - and guess what? I got not one, but TWO takers. They leave tomorrow because Wed is our last day. I have grown quite attached to these critters, although they chirp up a storm.
We have 1-1/2 days left. It's been an interesting year. I will miss the kids, but definitely ready for the break.

We are out of school now too! I am teaching summer school which starts around the 25th for four weeks. I have an interview for a permanent fourth grade position on Monday. If I don't get that one I still have a one year contract for next year for fifth grade at the school I was at. The fourth grade position is at another school in the district.
